Katia was born and raised in the Republic of Cyprus and received her Bachelor of Science Economics from Oklahoma State University. After working in Insurance Industry in the Los Angeles region as Risk Manager, she started in pharmaceutical sales in 2004 with Sanofi. There she received the employee of the year award in 2005 for the Western Region in California, the CSPARC award (Courage, Solidarity, Performance, Audacity, Respect, Creativity and was in the top 10% sales representatives of the Western Region USA. Katia transferred to Athens, Greece with Sanofi where she was promoted to Senior Metabolic Sales Specialist. After her career path of 6 years with Sanofi, Katia founded HealthyChoice, a company mainly dealing with nutritional products for Oncology patients and their launching and formulary coverage process. HealthyChoice was eventually acquired by George Petrou Ltd of Cyprus where Katia became Sales & Business Development Manager.
Katia Philippou joins Bio Med Sciences, Inc. as European Sales Manager
While in Cyprus with George Petrou Ltd Katia was responsible for sales of Bio Med’s Silon® and Oleeva® brands of wound care and scar management products. During that time Katia gained an expert level of understanding of Bio Med products and technology while developing a close and productive relationship with Bio Med and key members of its team.
At Bio Med, Katia is now responsible for the Company’s customer relationship and business activities in the European Union and United Kingdom. Katia speaks Greek and English fluently, and is presently completing her MBA at the Cyprus International Institute of Management (Q1 2021) with her thesis topic of “Next Generation Scar Management Technologies.”
